90 Day Fiance stars Seungdo “Nick” Ham and Devin Hoofman are off to a controversial start in Season 10. They’re already dubbed by some as the second coming of Jihoon Lee and Devan Clegg. But it seems that Nick is facing a lot more issues than his significant other. In the latest episode, the Korean native raised some eyebrows about how he treats his fiance. 90 Day Fiance: Nick Ham’s Controversial Nickname For Devin Hoofman
During the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance Season 10, fans discovered one of Nick’s nicknames for Devin. He called her “Piggy.” However, not a lot of fans find it positive. Some people on Reddit even had a discussion about it. According to some, it may be used in an endearing way in Asian culture. Others also pointed out that the 30-year-old man said he preferred her figure over the ones he kept seeing in Korea. Regardless, some were still horrified by his way of calling his future wife.

Nick Defends Himself
Nick also took to social media shortly after receiving so much criticism from calling Devin his “Piggy.” “Why is everyone so upset? what’s wrong with calling my fiance a piggy? you’re upset because you’re actually fat??” the 90 Day Fiance star said. It appears that he has no intention of hurting his fiance’s feelings. But Devin Hoofen herself told him during the episode that it’s a “rude” thing for him to say. It seems that the two still have a lot to discuss, especially when it comes to their cultural differences. Regardless, many are still cheering for them and hope that they won’t end up like Jihoon Lee and Deavean Clegg.
90 Day Fiance: Devin Hoofman Clears Things Up
Some 90 Day Fiance fans were also confused about Devin’s behavior in the latest episode. According to some, she appears to respond and talk slowly compared to a normal person. However, the reality TV personality made it clear that there’s a reason behind her actions. In an IG post, the Arkansas native said she’s not “slow” or “delayed.” She explained being a person who speaks very relaxed and has a deep voice. Hoofman also added that she just got back from work in some of her interviews, and they had to film in the middle of the night.
It’s clear to see that Nick Ham and Devin Hoofman are one of the most interesting couples in Season 10. The November 5th episode will also feature their reunion in Korea.
