Adam Barber is Janelle’s first husband. They got married in 1988, but later called it quits in 1990. This made Meri and Janelle sisters-in-law before becoming sister wives. It was reported that the 54-year-old was the one who filed for divorce. The reason behind their split was never revealed. But Christine’s daughter, Mykelti, claimed that Barber’s abusive behavior led to the end of their marriage.

Meri Brown has yet to share updates regarding the wake of Adam. However, she recently took to IG stories to share a clip with a friend of Cornbelly’s. It’s not known if the clip was recent. But it’s clear that the Sister Wives star is trying her best to stay positive in life. Many were also impressed by her tribute message to her late brother. According to the 52-year-old, she will continue to “move forward living, loving, forgiving, remembering.”
