Counting On alum James Duggar was once active on social media. However, the 22-year-old son of Jim Bob suddenly went silent after the release of Shiny Happy People. It appears he’s affected by the documentary, especially by how it targets them and the church they follow. Some fans also felt that he took a dig at his older sister, Jill Dillard, for participating in the docuseries. But the mother-of-three recently took to Instagram to clear things up regarding her status with her brother.

Jill and James have been two of the closest Duggar siblings. At one point, the 13th child of Jim Bob drove a firetruck to his sister’s house to surprise Sam for his birthday. The former Counting On star also attended Derick’s graduation from law school. At one point, the former reality TV personality shared his Father’s Day message to Jim Bob with a quote that says, “Regardless of what anyone may say, your the best dad I in the world!” He later followed it up with a puzzling message that talks about frustration.

Jill recently took to Instagram to share a sweet photo with James, as he celebrates his birthday. According to the Counting On alum, her brother will “forever” be her “buddy” as well as Sam and Israel’s “super uncle.” The birthday message comes after the celebrant seemingly took a shot at his older sister for joining Shiny Happy People. But it seems Jill wants to make things clear that she had no trouble with her sibling.

Some assume that he’s stepping away from the online world due to the criticism they’ve been receiving, while others suggest that he may be busy courting.
