In an Instagram post, Meri shared how she deals with the hate around her plural family. “Just throw love back at them. They must be feeling a lot of pain,” she said. It’s known that Kody Brown and his wives have been facing tons of criticism due to their never-ending struggles. Fans are also blaming Kody for how dysfunctional the plural family has become throughout the years. However, it seems that Meri still wants to keep fighting for her family. She was even praised for her big sacrifice of divorcing Kody so that he could legally marry fourth wife, Robyn.

Kody’s original first wife also took social media to answer questions about her first name. Apparently, fans have been wondering why her name was spelled “Meri” instead of “Mary.” According to Meri, there’s nothing special about her first name but she thinks that her mother had thought about it for a long time. “I guess she knew I was meant to stand out!” Meri added. She also took the opportunity to share her favorite picture of her late mother, Bonnie.
