In a new twist to the story involving the search for Brian Laundrie, his dad, Chris Laundrie, has joined the effort to find his son. Earlier Thursday he accompanied law enforcement to the Carlton Nature Reserve where police have been searching for Laundrie for weeks. Why did he go help now?
Chris Laundrie joined search for son Brian Laundrie
The Laundrie’s attorney said that it is true that Chris Laundrie joined the search for Brian Thursday. He said Chris show authorities where he and Brian used to hike and where Brian often visited. Nothing new was found. However, all believe it was helpful information. The attorney went on to say the water at the reserve is receding which allows more ground to be covered.
CBS News also reported on Chris Laundrie joining the search. The attorney for the family said, “Although Chris and Roberta Laundrie provided this information verbally three weeks ago it is now thought that on-site assistance may be better.” He continued saying, “The preserve has been closed to the public and the Laundries as well but the parents have been cooperating since the search began.”

Campsite was found
Law enforcement reported a campsite found that had been recently used at the nature reserve. They feel it could have something to do with Laundrie since the reserve has been closed off to the public as the search continues.
There have been many leads given regarding Brian Laundrie. However, so far, he’s not been located. A hiker revealed he believed he encountered Laundrie on the Appalachian Trail. Brian had spent three months on the trail in the past. He is known as a survivalist with great outdoor skills.
Brian has been missing for weeks now after reportedly disappearing just a few days before his fiance, Gabby Petito’s, body was found. Her death has been ruled a homicide and Laundrie is a named person of interest.
Upon returning to Florida without Petito, Laundrie and his parents refused to talk to law enforcement about Gabby. Petito’s family finally reported her missing on September 11.
Currently, a federal arrest warrant has been issued for Laundrie because of illegally using a debit and or credit card. It is believed he was using Petito’s debit card after her death.
Dog the Bounty Hunter has also joined in search efforts to locate Laundrie and bring him in for questioning.
The world awaits and watches as everyone hopes Laundrie is found alive and arrested.
