On Saturday, this blonde comedy queen attended a women’s rights march to show her support for women’s reproductive rights. Amy Schumer Supports Safe Abortions
Amy Schumer may have had a hysterectomy, but she is still outspoken about women’s rights. On Saturday, this blonde comedy queen attended a women’s rights march to show her support for women’s reproductive rights. The women in attendance of the event came together in support of women’s rights to safe abortions. 40-year-old Schumer wore an oversized windbreaker jumpsuit, baseball cap, and blue fanny back.
Amy acknowledges that while the idea of abortion isn’t pleasant to everyone, however, the ability to have autonomy over one’s health and reproductive system is something that is important to her.
Protesting Is Better With Friends
Amy Schumer wasn’t the only celebrity standing up for women’s reproductive rights at the rally on Saturday. The Trainwreck star didn’t spend her day alone. Long-time friend, Jennifer Lawrence, stood by her side. Despite being more than halfway through her pregnancy, the Hunger Games star stood with her friend in support of women’s autonomy.
While Lawrence is notorious for not having social media, Schumer took to her Instagram to share a selfie with Jennifer from the event. In the photo, Amy stands beside Jennifer Lawrence who is wearing an adorable gingham dress and denim jacket. The pregnant celeb’s growing baby bump was clearly visible beneath her shin-length frock. Amy is holding up a prefab sign that said ‘Abortion is Essential.’ Jennifer holds a handmade sign that reads ‘Women can’t be free if they don’t control their bodies.’
In a short caption, Amy wrote,
“I don’t have a uterus and she is pregnant but we out here @womensmarch @plannedparenthood #rallyforabortionjustice”

Why Jennifer Lawrence Is Passionate About Women’s Rights
Yes, Jen is expecting her first child with husband, Cooke Maroney, however, this activist celeb remains passionate about women’s reproductive rights. According to US Magazine, the actress grew up in a strict, religious household. When it comes to Planned Parenthood, Jennifer reveals it was essential to her reproductive health as a teen. The establishment provided birth control, condoms, and information, things she didn’t have access to in an overbearingly religious household.
“I wouldn’t have been able to get birth control if it weren’t for Planned P. I wouldn’t have been able to get condoms and birth control and all these things I needed as a normal teenager who was growing up in a Jesus house,” she reveals in a 2016 Interview with Glamour.
The actress believes that laws that take away a woman’s right to choose – aren’t an attack on ‘abortion.’ She holds that it is an ‘attack on women.’
Jennifer Lawrence’s due date is reportedly between December, 21st of this year and February 2022. Mom and Dad have yet to reveal the baby’s gender.
