Counting On stars Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo had a successful launch of their new book recently. Fans have been sharing positive feedback about the couple’s book. The Hope We Hold: Finding Peace in the Promises of God features stories about their lives as a married couple as well as their childhood and teenage days. However, the book also features some shocking revelations about the two, especially for Jeremy. In one of its chapters, Jeremy confessed to being drunk every weekend and used to throw a lot of parties.
Counting On: Jeremy Vuolo Admits Drinking Problem
In one of the chapters of their latest book, Counting On star Jeremy Vuolo shared a story about his drinking problem when he was still playing as a goalkeeper of his high school and college soccer teams. According to him, it all started when he asked his parents that his team would have a pre-season get-together at their house. However, he never mentioned that one of their friends bought beers and the girls they invited.
According to Jeremy, he tried controlling himself at first about drinking beer. However, as time goes by, he started liking it so much to the point that he gets drunk every weekend. “Inevitably, I gave in to one beer, which led to another, and another, until I lost count. I woke up the next morning hungover, again and again”, he added. Jeremy even shared having to vomit at a church’s bathroom due to his hungover on Sundays.
Jeremy Opens Up Fighting Someone In A Bar
Aside from his drinking problem, Counting On star Jeremy Vuolo also shared his story when he brawled with a man in 2008. According to Jeremy, he went to a bar with his friends. Later that night, they saw a man looking at one of their female friends. Jeremy and tried to confront the man. However, the two ended up throwing punches at each other. One of Jeremy’s friends also tried helping him but ended up being punched in the nose. “Blood poured from his nostrils as he tumbled to the ground. He was out cold”, Jeremy added. He also said that there were a lot of people watching them as they brawled.
Counting On: Jeremy Vuolo Said He Was Arrested
During his physical confrontation against another man in a bar, Counting On star Jeremy Vuolo said that officers arrived and tried to stop the fight. However, things got worse for Jeremy as he failed to control his emotions around the officers. “I think the second officer actually thought I was trying to break up the fight— which I wasn’t—but for some unknown reason, I yelled at him”, Jeremy said. After that, Jeremy said that the officers tried to make him leave.
However, he refused and told them that he’s not going anywhere. After that, Jeremy said that it was a bad move for him as the officers were forced to arrest him. “I felt my face slam against the police cruiser, the metal freezing cold against my cheek. I heard something clink and felt handcuffs tighten around my wrists”, he said. Jeremy ended the story by saying that he was sentenced to community service and fines.
