Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton are reportedly planning to expand their family. The beloved couple allegedly want to welcome a fourth Royal Baby in the near future.
According to Us Weekly, both Prince William and Kate are on board to add to their brood. Sources tell the outlet that the Duchess of Cambridge has always wanted fourth children, and that’s what she intends to have. In fact, there may already be a new royal running around if it wasn’t for the Covid-19 pandemic.
Prince William & Kate Middleton ready for baby number four
“Having four children was always part of Kate’s plan. She put the idea on hold when [the coronavirus pandemic] hit, but now there is light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccine and [Prince George and Princess Charlotte] scheduled to return to school in April. She feels ready to start trying again,” the insider dished.
Prince William and Kate are currently parents to three adorable children. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The Duchess reportedly knows that at 39-years-old her “clock is ticking,” and has been taking steps to ensure she’s in the best health possibly to endure another pregnancy. Sources claim that Kate’s been on a “nutrient-rich” diet in hopes of having a fourth healthy pregnancy.
While the couple may be ready to become parents again, they weren’t always on the same page. An insider claims that it took some convincing for Prince William to agree. However, he eventually warmed up to the idea of a fourth child.
“It took a while for Kate to convince William, though. He said that three children is more than enough. The thought of having four made him feel overwhelmed. … But Kate’s desires to have another child have inspired him, and at the end of the day, he loves and appreciates the secure family setting he never had growing up. Why not make it bigger? After taking some time to think about it, he’s on the same page and is excited about the future,” the source says.
In addition, Prince William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, is also said to be over the moon. The matriarch is reportedly thrilled at the though of having another great-grandchild.

The Queen is totally on board
“She adores her great-grandchildren. She’s slightly concerned that the Cambridges are biting off more than they can chew, especially as Kate isn’t planning to employ another nanny (as she wants to be hands-on), but as long as they’re happy, she’s happy,” says the insider.
There’s also another reason that Prince William and Kate Middleton may want to conceive quickly. If they do, their fourth child would be very close in age to its first cousin. Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton, is currently expecting her second child with husband James Matthews.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James,” a source revealed after the baby news was announced.
However, only time will tell if Prince William and Kate Middleton will make headlines with a fourth child.
