Meghan Markle set some high goals for herself back in 2016. And, her goals or New Year’s resolutions actually became reality. Meghan’s New Year’s resolution ultimately led her to Prince Harry. So, what was her resolution that would change her life?
Meghan Markle’s resolution led her to Prince Harry
Marie Claire shared all about Meghan’s resolution and how it all worked out for her. In 2016, Meghan wrote on her lifestyle blog, The Tig, that she needed to stick to high standards. She said, “For this new year, the only thing I aim to do is to approach life playfully.” Meghan continued, “To laugh and enjoy, to keep my standards high but my level of self-acceptance higher.”
In July 2016, Meghan met Prince Harry. That is definitely meeting the goal of high standards. The two were set up on a blind date. And, the rest is pretty much history. The couple dated for roughly 15 months before Harry popped the question.
And, according to reports, Prince Harry had been single for more than a year before meeting Meghan. At that point he was ready to find a wife and settle down. But, being one of the most eligible bachelor’s in the world made it hard for him to meet anyone. And, finding someone who could handle being in the public eye was also a challenge. Enter Meghan Markle. They married in May 2018.
Their new life and podcast
Now, living a new life in the United States, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have started a new podcast. They will have many famous names appearing on the podcast throughout the year. The podcast is part of a multi-year deal with Spotify. They hope it will bring some smiles to everyone after a horrible year 2020 brought to many.
Their first podcast started out with Harry and Meghan thanking frontline healthcare workers. The couple also hinted during the podcast about the struggles they faced with the royal family. And, Meghan said, “From us, I’ll say no matter what life throws at you guys, trust us when we say, love wins.”
Prince Harry said, “Love always wins. As we all know, it’s been a year.”
Harry acknowledged that 2020 was an unimaginable year. He said, “As we come to the end of this year and look to the future, let’s hold onto the lessons we’ve learned about how important it is to take care of one another, and how meaningful our connections are, even when they’re physically impossible.”
Meghan and Harry will be releasing more podcasts in 2021.
