Seemingly, things culminate with their shocking decision to step down from their coveted positions as senior members of the Royal family.
However, some speculate that this is merely just the beginning of the drastic changes to come for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Additionally, there is speculation on how these drastic changes affect the relationships between brothers Prince Harry and Prince William and their respective wives, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.
How are things going between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Prince William and Kate Middleton?
It seems that there has been longtime speculation that there is beef between the brides of the princes. However, according to Express, a royal author claims that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “will have a ‘very awkward’ reunion with Prince William and Kate Middleton if they meet this year.” This claim comes from author Phil Dampier. Notably, Dampier’s current project is Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan In Their Own Words. Dampier goes onto speculate while speaking to The Sun that “relations between the brothers may be in the same position since this time last year.”
Most of the speculation comes from what media sources are calling “Megxit.” This catch name marks the events of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from like in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, Dampier claims that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may return to the UK to further discuss the terms of their departure from the Royal family. According to media sources, this is shocking due to “rumors the couple [has] an ongoing feud with Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.”

According to Express, the last interaction between the brothers was Commonwealth Day in March. Consequently, there are a few happenings of note that lead to further speculation. The thing that seems to really take the cake is that the couples sat separately from each other. Additionally, Patti Wood, a body language expert gives her opinion to Marie Claire. According to Ms. Wood, she suspects that Prince William is suppressing anger. When describing a photo from Commonwealth Day, Wood describes that Prince William is doing “comfort palm.” She goes on to say, “He’s doing a comfort palm, that palm down on his leg, which is comforting and suppressing his emotional state or he’s trying to suppress how he’s feeling.”

She goes on to explain her thoughts on Kate Middleton’s body language during the Commonwealth Day activities. She describes the Duchess of Cambridge’s expressions as “slight sadness.” Wood goes on to say, “The pursing of the lips is more like, ‘this doesn’t taste good to me.’ Then, the sadness in the eye is, ‘this is sad’.”
