Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. may have been exposed to COVID-19. And he isn’t taking any chances. He is self-isolating away from his daughter and pregnant wife until he’s sure the danger is over.
Leslie Odom Jr. May Have Been Exposed To COVID-19 While On The Ellen DeGeneres Show
Leslie appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on December 9. The very next day, Ellen announced she tested positive for COVID-19. He later appeared on Today to discuss the issue with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. He says they thought they were being as safe as possible, but he is quarantining out of an abundance of caution.
“First and foremost, I hope Ellen is well. I haven’t spoken to her, obviously I hope she’s doing okay,” the singer said. “We’re getting our tests every day for the next 10 days, and quarantining from each other. The virus can affect pregnant ladies differently, so anywhere, we’re doing our best. I’ve got my mask in the house. You know, I’m double-masking in the house.”
Fortunately, Ellen says she feels just fine. If Leslie Odom Jr. has the virus too, hopefully he will only have mild symptoms at most.

It’s Been A Hard Year, But There Were Many Things To Smile About
Christmas falls under the quarantine period. Leslie may be double masking around the house, but he likely won’t get to play with his three-year-old daughter Ruby the way he wants to. He also posted on Instagram that he has been video chatting with some extended family. But of course, none of that will make Christmas the same.
This is really disappointing news, but Leslie Odom Jr. has had a lot to celebrate this year. Hamilton fans were already very familiar with the actor and singer who played Vice President Aaron Burr in the show. But the rest of the world got to see him in the iconic role when it came to Disney Plus over the summer. After that, he became a household name.
And that’s not the only positive news. Leslie and his wife, actress and singer Nicolette Robinson, announced they were expecting a second child. Their baby boy is due in March.
Many other people may not get to see their families this holiday season. But they can all enjoy listening to Leslie’s new Christmas album. It was simply named “The Christmas Album” and dropped on November 6.
As for upcoming projects, Leslie Odom Jr. plans to join the cast of Sia’s controversial film, Music. Not all of his fans are happy with his involvement, but many others are willing to give the film a chance.
