Logan is still considered one of the best superhero movies today. Not because of its fight scenes and superhero costumes, but because of how emotional the movie was. Logan is part of the X-Men universe. However, the movie was set in a world where mutants are facing extinction.
The only ones left are Logan, also known as Wolverine, and Professor X, who was very old and can no longer talk normally. The movie shows the end of the mutant era as well as the death of Wolverine. However, the movie also created a new path for next-generation superheroes. 3 years after its release, fans are still waiting for the sequel of Logan.
Now, the hopes and dreams for a Logan sequel might actually become a reality. The breakout star of Logan, Dafne Keen, recently shared exciting news for the fans. This includes the potential sequel of one of the greatest X-Men movies ever created.
Logan Sequel Might Be In The Works
British-Spanish actress Dafne Keen revealed that Fox reached out to her about their plans for a potential Logan sequel. According to her, the sequel will be focusing on her character as X-23. Dafne played the role of X-23 at the age of 12. Now, she grew taller and looks ready for an adult version of X-23. Apparently, Laura, also known as X-23 was Wolverine’s biological daughter. However, the two never had the time to get to know each other well as Wolverine got killed by his own clone. At this point in time, Fox has yet to reveal any information about the Logan sequel. However, fans can expect that it will be a build-up for the future superheroes of X-Men.
What To Expect In The Logan Sequel?
During Logan, Wolverine saved a handful of mutant kids. Wolverine fought his clone to save the kids, leading to his death. The young mutants managed to escape. However, their next destination was never revealed in the film. Due to this, fans can expect that the young mutants will help each other out in order to survive. Considering that Professor X also died in the film, the possibility of them landing in a school of mutants got very low. However, Dafne’s confirmation that the sequel will focus on her character might tell that she will form a new team to hunt down the mastermind of mutant exterminations.
Will X-Men Ever Face The Avengers?
One of the biggest dreams of every superhero fan is the face-off of the X-Men and the Avengers. With Disney acquiring Fox studio, the chances of it from happening dramatically increased. Fans believe that Disney can shut down Fox’s X-Men universe and create a new X-Men that will eventually connect with the Avengers. Unfortunately, most of the original members of the Avengers are now gone, such as Iron-man, Captain America, and Black Widow. However, fans are still hoping that the crossover will happen even if it takes years of build-up.
The Logan sequel has yet to be announced by Fox or Disney.
