Why Did Fergie Get A Mention In Josh Duhamel’s New Movie?

Josh Duhamel and Fergie’s marriage may be over, but he knows when to give someone credit. In his new movie, “Buddy Games,” a classic set of guy friends go on several misadventures. He said there was one woman in his life when he started that was the catalyst for the movie happening.

During the time he started writing the movie, he was married to singer, Fergie. His ex-wife told him, “you know what? You can direct this. You can do this,” the actor shared. He acknowledged at the time; he wasn’t sure he could pull it off.

Josh Duhamel Gave Fergie A Shoutout

Josh Duhamel made sure to acknowledge Fergie in the final credits. He said, “she was somebody who told me to go do it.” The two dated in 2004 and got married in 2009. They have a son, Axl, who is seven years old. People were shocked in 2017 when they announced they were no longer together.

Their joint statement said, “with absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year.” They also said they kept it private until they could adjust to the change. They also said they would always support each other. According to Today, they said, “we are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”

He Said They Had A Great Connection

When Josh Duhamel went on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert and talked about his relationship with Fergie. Dax Shepard is also his co-star in the movie. He said, “Fergie and I had a great relationship. I loved that girl and I always will. Unfortunately, we didn’t work, but I’ll always have her back and she is the mother of my baby.”

The movie is about a group of friends in their thirties who participate in absurd games. The trials are physical and mental challenges that are often dangerous. It also stars Nick Swardson, Olivia Munn, and James Roday. Josh posted a picture on Instagram with the male cast. He captioned it, “This is the face I make when I see Buddy Games is #1 on the charts. Thanks for all the support!” He was speaking about iTunes where the movie is a hit.

Fans have been really excited about his directorial debut. One said, “My mom watched it last night and she now has the DVD in her hands.” Another said, “Funny movie Josh, especially loved the cameo of Jensen Ackles he was bloody funny!” Critics have had other things to say about the movie with Ebert saying, “Duhamel and his two co-writers pay a lot of lip service to the proud heterosexual tradition of rich men negging each other, and then applauding themselves for their “tough love.”

“Buddy Games” is now out and can be seen on streaming services and some theaters.
