The two pop star heartthrobs are known for their passion for singing about their interior lives. One good example was Bieber’s “Love Yourself“, which was obviously dedicated to his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Aside from that, a rumor recently surfaced stating that Mendes broke up with his girlfriend, Camila Cabello. Fans thought that it was true. Until earlier in October, Camila confirmed on her social media that they’re still together.

Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber’s Monster music video is about the pressure of fame and success. It’s no secret that the two have been very successful with their singing careers. In the music video, fans can see Bieber and Mendes wearing white T-shirts while standing in a huge white block. Directed by Collin Tilley, the music video features Bieber and Mendes wondering if they’re becoming “Monsters.” Some of the most notable lyrics in the song were “But what if I, what if I trip? However, things went deep during the live stream as Shawn started to share some stories about his journey to success, and the reasons behind some of his lyrics in Monster. According to him, he was writing it out of the angst of being a celebrity. He also said that he felt like he’s being watched all the time.
Bieber also shared some of his journey growing up. According to him, growing up is tough in general especially when everyone has something to say about your relationship and everything. However, the two explained that they understand their situation and told their fans to continue loving themselves.
