Zack Snyder’s Justice League is one of the most highly anticipated movies coming to HBO Max in 2021. Announced in May 2020, the upcoming Justice League will feature a different continuity to its theatrical version. Director Zack Snyder also announced that his version of the film will offer more additional scenes, backstories, and new characters. Snyder’s cut will remain its story arc similar to its theatrical version.
Fans have been receiving a lot of teasers and photos from the set of the upcoming superhero film. One of which is Wonder Woman discovering Darkseid’s mural.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League: Wonder Woman Discovers Darkseid’s Mural
In a YouTube post, HBO Max revealed a new teaser trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. In the trailer, Wonder Woman can be seen exploring a ruin when she discovers the mural of Darkseid, a supervillain and the archenemy of the Justice League. The trailer also revealed Darkseid’s arrival on earth, which is similar to Steppenwolf’s arrival in the theatrical version of the film.
Darkseid is one of the New Gods, a race that consists of extremely powerful beings. In the comics, Steppenwolf was Darkseid’s uncle, who was defeated by the Justice League. Now, the team will once again have to face Steppenwolf in Snyder’s cut. However, it was previously confirmed that Snyder’s cut will be more of a setup to Darkseid, as he was originally intended to be the next villain in Justice League 2.
Henry Cavill Teases His Return To Snyder’s Cut
In a social media post, actor Henry Cavill shares a photo of him inside the set of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Henry will continue his role as Superman in the upcoming film. The background suggests that they were filming the scene where Superman found his monument and starts fighting the Justice League. Aside from that, Snyder confirmed that Green Lantern will make his debut in the film.
At this point in time, Snyder has yet to reveal the actor for Green Lantern. However, there are rumors stating that Ryan Reynolds will return to his role. It’s no secret that Reynolds also supported the release of Snyder’s cut. Marvel Studios also pushed back Deadpool 3 for a few years. Due to this, Reynolds will have the opportunity to return as Green Lantern.
Zack Snyder Wants To Release Justice League As Two Movies
According to Justice League director, Zack Snyder, he wanted to release his version of the film into two separate parts. Aside from that, he’s planning to release both of it just two months apart. Despite all the negative reviews of the 2017 version of the film, the Justice League is still one of the most talked-about movies. Mainly because of the announcement that Snyder will return to direct the film.
