As we’ve previously reported, Tarik Myers and Hazel Cagalitan are one of the seven international couples returning for Season 8 of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé.
Now, 90 Day viewers have already met both Tarik and Hazel. They, however, will be seeing a whole different side of them and their relationship during Season 8 of the TLC series.
Hazel being bisexual, wants a girlfriend
Thanks to the 90 Day Fiancé Season 8 trailer, we know we will see Hazel open up about her sexuality. Oddly enough, we will also get to watch Tarik, who is nearly 20 years older than Hazel, help her find a girlfriend.
Turns out, Hazel has entered the United States for a little more than just marriage. We’ve learned she’s bisexual. And, she’s interested in exploring a relationship with a woman. It just wasn’t something she could do back in the Philippines. Why? Because she lived in a region filled with biphobia.
“Growing up in the Philippines, I just hide it. But here in America, I am excited about having a girlfriend.” She explained to the producers of the TLC series.
Tarik Myers has no qualms about helping his young bride-to-be with embracing her sexuality. So, we see him assisting her in browsing dating apps to find a girl she might be interested in.
Girlfriend business could spell disaster for Tarik’s future
From what we can tell, Tarik seems to be at peace with the idea of sharing Hazel with a woman.
It, however, is unclear whether Hazel will just date Tarik and the woman on the side. Or, if this will be the start of some sort of polyamorous trio. Moreover, maybe Hazel will decide she likes women more than men. Could Tarik be setting himself up to lose his bride-to-be?
Likewise, Hazel’s interest in finding a girlfriend could complicate the K-1 visa process.
What do we know about the couple?
As those who have followed the couple know, Hazel had a lot of problems before getting engaged. She was homeless. And, she wasn’t having the best of luck financially. We also know she has an eight-year-old son named Harry. A son that she desperately wants to bring to the United States with her.
Despite their cultural differences, Hazel and Tarik seem to have a pretty solid relationship. Fans of 90 Day Fiancé hope Hazel’s desire to explore her sexuality in the United States won’t botch that.

Tlc is going way too far with their trashy couples. It gets worse every season. Time to bring back real couples like loren and alexi, etc. normal couples and genuine and in love. Not all the fake trauma drama
