Counting On stars Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth will welcome a child this summer. This will be a rainbow baby for the parents to be. Joy-Anna suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage last May at the 20-week mark in her pregnancy. The baby they lost was a girl named Annabel.
So now that Joy-Anna and Austin had time to mourn the loss of their daughter and allow Joy Anna’s body to heal, they will once again be parents to another little one. Here’s what we know.

Counting On alums Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth announced today that their son Gideon Forsyth will be a big brother. It’s been a crazy few months for the Forsyths. Recall in the fall they bought a house and moved out of the RV they were living in. Now a few months later the couple shared the joyous news of a new baby.

Certainly, the couple waited till Joy was pretty far along and well into the safety zone. After all, they lost their last child at the 20-week mark. So no doubt they wanted to be sure this baby was healthy before sharing the news publicly. The couple not only shared their rainbow baby news but also the gender—Baby Girl Forsyth will make her entrance later this summer.
Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth Excited To Share Pregnancy News
Finally, the cat is out of the bag. Counting On’s Joy-Anna and Austin are letting fans and followers in on their big news. The couple knew back in December they were definitely expecting. In fact, in the video clip below you can see Joy taking multiple pregnancy tests to make sure. Her first test was negative, but just a few days later, and a few more tests later as well, showed a positive result.
Joy decided to reveal the news to her siblings and parents at their family’s Christmas ornament making party. Joy’s plan was to make ornaments for herself, Austin and Gideon and then one for the new baby. Certainly, it is hard to come up with fun new ways to announce a pregnancy in a family this large with so many siblings having kids, but Joy sure found a great creative way to share her news.
