‘The View’ Whoopi Goldberg Hates $5000 Bonus Incentive
The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg is hating on Donald Trump’s $5000 bonus incentive that he is talking about doing. This is a new baby bonus that he wants to do for people having children.
Donald Trump’s Big Plan
Donald Trump has plans to offer women $5,000 after they have a baby to increase the number of children born in the United States. The thing is Whoopi Goldberg is not happy about this plan. On The View this week she spoke out about it saying, “I am incredibly insulted by this, because, clearly, they don’t know how women’s bodies work, and they don’t know what it costs to raise a child or just have a child. That $5,000? I don’t know what $5,000 is supposed to do.”
Most people don’t have the kind of money that Whoopi has and $5,000 could be a lot to them. Sara Haines says that the problem is that “we don’t have paid family leave in this country or subsidized childcare.” She went on to explain, “I’m one of those people that I feel the earth is overpopulated. They want more babies because it affects not only the workforce, but paying into entitlement programs.”
Would People Like It If It Was From Biden?
Alyssa Farah Griffin thinks that if this was something brought up by Biden everyone would be for it. She is making it clear she feels like some people just don’t like the idea because Donald Trump is the one with the thought. This is an interesting assessment of the situation.
Griffin even asked Whoopi if something was better than nothing, but that doesn’t seem to change her mind on this one. She isn’t a fan of the $5,000 bonus that Trump wants to give out for having a child. It would probably take a lot to change her mind about it, too.
