Bringing Up Bates star Addallee Bates is the only child of Gil and Kelly Jo who was born prematurely. The married couple welcomed their fifteenth child on February 17, 2006. She grew up with multiple health complications, but it didn’t stop her from living her best life to the fullest. However, many fans are curious if Addallee is benefiting from her disability today. Bringing Up Bates: What Is Addallee Bates’ Condition?
Addallee suffered from breathing difficulties right after Kelly Jo gave birth to her. It also resulted in her heart complications. Fortunately, Addallee was treated but had to be in the NICU for quite some time. Addallee only weighed 3 pounds and 13 ounces. The Bringing Up Bates star suffered from hearing loss as she got older. But Gil and Kelly Jo brought her to an audiologist and ultimately got her hearing aids, which she still wears today.
Does Addallee Receive Disability Benefits?
Some fans on social media discussed if Addallee Bates is aware that she’s qualified for disability benefits or if she already had one. According to the poster, the Bringing Up Bates star can receive benefits and work part-time. But they’re unsure if Gil and Kelly Jo would be interested in letting her step out of her comfort zone.

Bringing Up Bates: Addallee Bates’ Milestones
Addallee has also made some impressive milestones despite her condition. The Bringing Up Bates star graduated from homeschooling last year. She also finished her American Sign Language School with her brother, Isaiah Bates. According to Kelly Jo, the two studied four nights a week in 3-hour classes, adding that they loved every single second of it.
Addallee Bates has yet to share her next big step. But it seems Isaiah wants to use all the knowledge he has learned in their church. He’s been spotted numerous times doing sign language during sermons. He also does part-time at his father’s tree excavating business and at his brother-in-law Chad’s construction business.
