Bringing Up Bates star Kelly Jo Bates continues to stay in touch with the fans following her major health scare. It’s been an emotional couple of months for the Bates family after Kelly Jo almost died. She’s fully recovered and even traveled to Florida to visit her granddaughter. Many fans are glad that the 58-year-old is now back in her usual activities. But she recently took to social media to share an emotional message for her grandson, Zade. Bringing Up Bates: What Happened To Kelly Jo Bates?
Kelly Jo made headlines last month after getting rushed to the hospital during her visit to Mama Jane and Papa Bill’s farm in South Carolina. According to Kelly Jo, she suffered from severe pain, and they had to call an ambulance to take her to the ER. She revealed that she underwent two surgeries to remove a kidney stone, which also became infected.
The Bringing Up Bates star added that she would not have survived if they delayed the operation for a day. Kelly Jo was also thankful for her kids, who took turns visiting and caring for her. She added that Gil never left her side throughout her recovery.
Kelly Jo Cries For Carlin’s Son Zade
Kelly Jo Bates recently took to IG Stories to share how emotional she got for her grandson, Zade. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she watched Carlin’s latest YouTube vlog, where she brought her kids on a Disney Cruise.
Kelly Jo confessed that she cried when Zade finally got to meet Mickey Mouse, which had been his dream, adding that Zade considers the character his “best friend.” The proud grandmother also loves Layla’s princess makeover, which she got during her birthday celebration at the Disney Cruise.
Bringing Up Bates: Gil Bates Helps Kelly Jo
Kelly Jo Bates’ ability to visit her grandkids is currently limited due to her recent surgery. However, Gil has been stepping up to stay in touch with the kids. Carlin star recently took to IG Stories to share a heartwarming clip of her dad spending time with some of his grandkids. They were watching cartoons on a laptop. Zade and Layla were also there to hang out with their grandfather.
