Jinger recently had an interview after the official release of her memoir, “People Pleaser.” The Counting On alum shared a quick tour of her upcoming son’s room. The proud mother also believes that Felicity will take the role of a “second mother” for her baby brother.

She also talked about some chapters of her book. One chapter discussed being taught to put on a smile whenever they were in public during her younger years. She implied that they were raised under the expectations of others.

The Sad Reason Jinger Remains Scared Of Water

Jinger Duggar Vuolo’s latest book not only features how she broke free from trying to please other people. It also shared stories about her difficult childhood. One of them is having to wear skirts while swimming, which gives her trauma with water. The Counting On alum said, “Since I was a little girl, I wanted to know what it felt like to push myself through the water, to swing my arms and kick my legs to keep me at the surface. But I didn’t know how.”

Since then, she learned that long skirts were not designed for swimming, but their parents and church insisted that they wear them. It gave her the idea that all kinds of water are scary because she couldn’t swim. Jinger has been trying her best to learn how to swim because she also wants her daughters to learn as well. But it seems she still can’t let go of her past. She continued, “But I was still so scared, thinking back to the few times I’d tried as a kid, the long skirt encasing my flailing legs.”

Counting On: Jinger Duggar’s Book Receives Positive Feedback

Jinger Duggar Vuolo also took to Instagram to share a chapter from her book, talking about how people easily allow others to control them and live up to what they want them to be. But she encourages readers to fight it and live life without adjusting for anyone. The Counting On alum’s message moved many readers. Some even took to the comments section to commend the inspirational messages of her memoir.
