Bringing Up Bates: How Are Gil & Kelly Jo Bates’ Family Today?
It’s been a busy year for Gil and Kelly Jo’s family. The Bringing Up Bates star just welcomed five grandkids this year. What makes it special is that all of them are baby boys. One of the most recent family members who gave birth was Esther Bates. She welcomed her second child, Graham Alan, on October 4, 2024. There’s currently no pregnant Bates today. However, Carlin has been hinting at a possible third child with Evan, especially in her latest vlog. However, some fans think the Bates family may soon have issues making YouTube content.
Bates Family’s Vlog In Trouble?
Some Bringing Up Bates fans on Reddit react to a recent hearing regarding Shari Franke’s abuse claims. She’s the daughter of Mormon family vlogger Ruby Franke. According to her testimony, she’s a victim of “family vlogging.” Her statement comes amid the increasing number of child-influencers online, especially when it comes to conservative and religious families.
Shari wanted to end it by passing a law, adding that children shouldn’t be used to make money on any social media platforms. Several Redditors think this is a bad sign for the Bates family’s YouTube content, which is often filled with stories about Gil and Kelly Jo’s grandchildren.
- “You go girl. Hope their is a law about family Vlogging.”
- “In Minnesota there is a law that is going to effect that, while rather vague, does have some parameters for those who monetize their social media and the presence of children in their content. Idk the specifics, but it’s a start.”
- “It’s great that states are slowly starting to pick up on the need to regulate these things. I do have to chuckle at Minnesota being one of the few, I can’t imagine many family vloggers there.”
- “Yes! I think it’s a huge step towards a larger protection for kids!”
