Esports is no stranger to holiday events. All gamers know that some events are better than others. Call of Duty is bringing in the festivities with Festive Fervor. It will host a myriad of events, loot, and other goodies. The winter holiday event will begin December 17th alongside its 12 Festive Days of Deals sale for Warzone Pacific. There is also a Holiday sale for Vanguard lasting from December 16th through January 5th.

Call of Duty: Vanguard goodies

Vanguard, with the sales event, will be hosting free multiplayer for six straight days. The free play is scheduled to start on December 16th and go until the night of the 21st. In the world of pay-to-play, free access is always a good chance to convince a little sibling to come to get destroyed.

The game will also be hosting several other special themed perks. The limited of time game mode “Armageddon” is a rerun of what was known as Drop Zone in other Call of Duty titles. Additionally, “Shipmas” is a reskin of the Shipment map.

Most exciting, the new challenge “Elf Team Six” finds players hunting down tiny green elves to bolster your killstreaks. Along with all of this, players can look forward to some gifts in the form of XP and tier skips.

Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific perks

Warzone won’t be seeing quite as many specials but there is still enough to look forward to. Similar to “Elf Team Six” players will be getting “Elf and Seek”, a game mode that puts more tiny people in Warzone maps for players to destroy. Blasting these guys rewards players with Calling Cards and Double XP tokens.

Of course, no Santa party is complete without some boxes coming from the sky. “Deck the Halls” Holiday Crates have an increased chance of popping out legendary items, limited-time rewards, and coal. The crates are spawned by finding Festive Fir Trees and loitering for a while.

Both games have some bundles coming

In the name of more content and easier-to-reproduce assets, both games will see some cross-over swag. Holiday bundles like Krampus Unleashed and other holiday skinned bundles will be hitting the store. Moreover, the Beware! Krampus challenge seems exciting. Likely, there will be a Krampus figure that plays deadly hide-and-seek with players. Rumors suggest it will target things like the naughty players that received coal in their holiday crates.

Adding value to the game

Players often wonder if they are getting the best deals, but one thing is certain. It will be festive. Call of Duty updates are usually large so be sure to gear up your hard drives and wait for the downloads around the release of the event.

Reminder, the winter holiday event is set to begin December 17th alongside its 12 Festive Days of Deals sale for Warzone Pacific. The holiday sale for Vanguard lasts from December 16th through January 5th.
