Five-time NBA All-Star John Wall has been out in the league for 2 years. He previously had surgery on his left heel in January 2019. However, Wall developed an infection in the incision of his surgery, making things a lot worse. After that, Wall suffered a ruptured left Achilles tendon. However, it didn’t happen during a game. Apparently, Wall slipped and fell in his home, forcing him to rest for another year.
Now, Wall is finally back after 2 years of absence in the league. Some fans thought that he’ll no longer have his explosive playstyle due to his injury. However, he showed no signs of injuries in his first game against the Sacramento Kings.
NBA: John Wall Is Back After 2 Years
John Wall has suffered many injuries throughout his NBA career. Fans thought that he’ll never make it back due to how severe his injuries were. Now, Wall is back to prove that he’s still one of the best point guards in the league today. Wall made his long-awaited return against the Sacramento Kings.
After two years of resting, Wall managed to dominate in his first game. Wall scored 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in 37 minutes of playing. Wall’s first bucket in two years is a slam dunk, showing that he still got the athleticism after left heel surgery. He also puts on a show by splitting two defenders in transition for an easy score.
Harden-Wall Duo Looks Dangerous
The Houston Rockets look amazing with both James Harden and John Wall on the court. Harden managed to score 33 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists as they defeated the Sacramento Kings with a score of 122-119. It’s no secret that Harden is still interested in getting traded. However, fans believe that Harden will change his mind now that he saw what Wall is capable of. Wall is a pass-first point guard which will help Harden score much easier. It’s known that the Rockets love to play Harden in the offense. With Wall’s playmaking skills, the Rockets can easily become a contender team just like what Harden wants.
NBA: Wall & Cousins Frustrated By The NBA’s Quarantine Rules
Houston Rockets stars John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins opened up about the NBA’s quarantine rules. Apparently, the NBA subjected both of them to a seven-day quarantine after having close contact with their teammate KJ Martin, who apparently got tested positive a few days later. According to Cousins, he was very frustrated to be sitting around his house doing nothing. He also said that having to rest for seven days then getting back to a full-speed practice affects his mentality.
On the other hand, Wall revealed that he’s not happy with the seven-day quarantine rule. According to him, he got tested 4 to 5 times and all came back negative, which puts him in no reason to be in a seven-day quarantine. However, the NBA has strict Covid-19 protocols and it appears that they won’t be changing it any time soon.
The Houston Rockets will face the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, January 5.
