‘Sister Wives’ Leon Brown Keeps Unveiling Truth About ‘Cult’ Life
Sister Wives star Leon Brown has previously opened up about being raised in a cult. The only child of Meri and Kody Brown had stated that there would be multiple parts, and they did not disappoint. Now, the second part has dropped, and they are delving deeper into cult ideology. Keep reading for more on what Leon had to say.
Leon Brown Had Once Wanted Polygamy
When Sister Wives viewers first met Leon Brown, they shared that they had wanted to live in polygamy. A Mormon lifestyle was vital to them, but eventually, their life drastically changed. They came out, met their partner, Audrey Kriss, and transitioned. It was a whole new world for them, and it was up to their family to learn how to adapt. They did not appear on the hit TLC series as much, but when they did, they made an impact. Now, they are claiming that their upbringing was very much cult-based. There were things they did appreciate, while others that they did not care for.
In the second part of this series, they discussed how they were always at church more than they weren’t. It was an everyday occurrence, and then they had to go to “girls’ class,” which seemed to evolve into “young women’s class.” They noted how much “indoctrination” happened while at school and church, which is now extremely hard to think about. Leon is recalling what they learned and seeing how warped their teachings were. The way that they dressed was very strict so as not to “provoke” the boys around them.
It was the social life that kept the Sister Wives star involved, and that is where the video ends. So, they leave off at middle school, but will likely pick up at around the beginning of high school.

Their Story, Their Terms
It is vital that Leon Brown gets to tell their story on their terms. Sister Wives is just a fragment of their life, and now, they have a platform to do so. After fans and followers heard what Leon shared, they were very curious about a lot. They knew that Leon was the only Brown child who initially wanted to live in polygamy, so they wanted to know what flipped. It was likely when they came out and found their person, but there was so much more:
- The idea that females are responsible for inappropriate behaviour of males is such a religious thing.
