It is almost summer, and it is about to be hot, so everyone is looking for ways to cool down. Frozen drinks are one of the best, most refreshing ways, aside from jumping into a pool. So, what are some of the best homemade frozen drinks? Keep reading for more details.
Best Homemade Frozen Drinks For Summer
The summer is for iced beverages, lying in the sun, and soaking up every last moment. Yet, sometimes, we do not want to leave the house to make a frozen (virgin) cocktail. So, what are some of the best homemade iced up beverages to make in the blink of an eye? These are all Starbucks-inspired but do not require changing out of your bathing suit or pajamas to enjoy. The first is the iconic Pink Drink, which is typically made with strawberry acai refresher, coconut milk, and freeze-dried strawberries.
That can be achieved with two hibiscus tea bags, a half cup of white grape juice, a half cup of water, a half cup of coconut milk, a fourth of a cup of strawberries, a splash of simple syrup, and ice. The best part about getting all of these ingredients is that you can have pink drinks for several days. Or you can have friends and family over and never run out. Put it in a blender with extra ice for frozen deliciousness. Now, if chocolate is more of your thing, an iced mocha is super fun and simple.

You need a half cup of simple syrup, two teaspoons of cocoa powder, two or three tablespoons of mocha syrup, two or three tablespoons of cream/milk, and cold coffee. It’s simple to grab a jug of iced coffee from the market or make it at home in the Keurig, as many have an iced setting. If you happen to be lactose intolerant, sub with any milk of your choice, and, as always, throw it in the blender if desired and top with whipped cream. Don’t forget that a shot of espresso never hurt anyone, especially on those long summer days.
Wait…There’s More
In the summer, a caramel iced coffee is always delicious. All that is needed is one cup of ice, one cup of iced coffee, two tablespoons of salted caramel syrup, a half cup of milk, caramel sauce, and whipped cream. This can be blended, as well, or enjoyed as is. A kid-friendly blended beverage is inspired by a now-defunct Starbucks beverage. All you need is one cup of whole milk, a half cup of chocolate syrup, a half cup of mini chocolate chips (semi-sweet can be good, too), two cups of ice, and one quarter cup of powdered sugar. Blend all this up, and top with whipped cream.
Now that you know how to make four epic frozen beverages at home, which one will you choose? Let us know in the comments, and have a delicious summer.
