That is why these six budget-friendly meals can be nutritious, delicious, and penny savers. If breakfast is something that you enjoy, at any time of the day, and cereal does not tickle your fancy, try cinnamon and sugar toast. Toast can go for around $2, while both seasonings can total $4. For pasta fans, Cacio e pepe is a great option. Why? There are just a handful of ingredients, most you may already have. Pasta can cost around a dollar on sale, ground pepper is about $3 at most, butter is roughly $3, olive oil is $7, and Romano cheese comes in at $5. Since you have already bought the toast for an earlier meal, plus the pepper, why not have a lunch sandwich of tomato, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper? A tomato can be under a dollar, while mayo is around $3. If mayo is not for you, substitute cream cheese. Pizza night can be essential, but instead of ordering in, curb your craving with a Red Baron pizza. They are $5, and you can add the tomatoes you bought as well as Romano cheese.

Two To Go

The first four meals are extremely delicious and budget-friendly, but what about two more to round things out? If you’re a tuna fan, tuna macaroni is a must-have. As aforementioned, noodles cost around a dollar, as does a can of tuna. Mayo is around $3, but you may already have it, plus salt and pepper. Put it in the fridge and it can be a tasty meal for two days. Finally, chalupas can make any taco Tuesday festive and delicious. Corn tortillas, refried beans, and cheese are the basics. The total for this meal is around $7 and can make a whole family very happy. Top off with some sour cream and you’re good to go.
