Bringing Up Bates stars Gil and Kelly Jo Bates have shared their lives with their 19 children for 10 seasons. Many quickly fell in love with their positive lifestyle, similar to that of their family friend, the Duggars. The Bates family continues to grow behind cameras. In May, Gil and Kelly Jo Bates welcomed their 29th grandson, Weston Slade Smith. The Bringing Up Bates stars are also expecting to welcome three more grandsons this year from Tiffany, Esther, and Katie. Aside from the new babies, the Bates family continues to do their annual activities even after the show. In February, Gil and Kelly Jo gathered their children at the big house to celebrate “I Love You Day,” in which multiple pregnancies were announced.

They also learned that IVF and surrogacy are not options for them due to Michaela’s health condition. Because of this, they began looking into adoption. The married couple previously revealed that they failed their first adoption attempt, but they’re planning to try again, although they’re going to keep everything private. Brandon and Michaela Bates Keilen also received heartwarming comments in their vlog about their infertility journey.
