Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are speaking out about the new documentary.
Counting On fans have been eager to get updates about the Duggars following the release of a documentary about them. It was also followed by the announcement of Jill Duggar’s book against her parents, making things a lot more complicated. It seems that Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar have finally had enough of all the criticism. And, they took to their official family blog to speak out about this documentary.
Counting On: The Duggars Slam The Latest Documentary Against Them
In a screenshot attached to a post on their Instagram Stories, Counting On stars Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar shared their thoughts on the recent documentary titled Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.
According to them, the documentary directly targets the Duggar family and has the intention of hurting the people they love. Jim Bob and Michelle have also pointed out all the struggles they faced in recent years. Due to this, they think it’s unfair for people to degrade them.
Jim Bob and Michelle also made it clear that they’re trying their best to repair all the damaged relationships they have in the family. The two also pointed out that they love everyone in the family and will continue to have a good relationship with each one.
Jill & Derick Speak Up In The Documentary
Counting On stars Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard also took part in Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. Jill is also the only member of the family who took part in the controversial documentary.
Fans also find it odd that Jill decided to do such a thing after finally becoming on good terms with her siblings and parents. She even joined their recent all-girls gathering. Due to this, many felt sad that Jill decided to go against them once again.

It also appears that some of Jill Duggar’s siblings are not happy about her participation in the documentary. Some fans also believe that her book, Counting The Cost, made things worse. Apparently, fans discovered that Jed Duggar liked a hate comment regarding Jill’s book in her announcement post. He also had some heated exchanges with the people who called him out, showing how upset he is by Jill’s book. Meanwhile, some fans think Jed shouldn’t have done such a thing, especially since Jill was the one who raised him for so long.
It’s clear how bad things have turned for the Duggar family with Jill’s book and the controversial documentary. At this point, fans can only hope that the family will overcome all the criticism they’re currently facing.
