So far, Laundrie has not been located. However, the team along with law enforcement has been working tirelessly to locate Laundrie in Florida. Dog the Bounty Hunter, whose real name is Duane Chapman, has been at the front of the search until now. It has been confirmed that Chapman left the search to return to Colorado. Supporters want to know why. Here’s what is known.
Dog the Bounty Hunter leaves search for Brian Laundrie
Newsweek confirmed that Duane Chapman has left the search for Brian Laundrie. He reportedly returned to Colorado after suffering an injury. His team is continuing to search for the fugitive in Chapman’s absence. Chapman reportedly suffered an ankle injury while searching for Laundrie in Florida.
Reported Josh Benson said, “DOG. Just got an update from Dog the Bounty Hunter’s team. They say he’s headed back to Colorado soon to meet with his doctor after injuring his ankle in the search.”
He continued by saying, “Team says he’s put together a talented network of local team members he calls the ‘Florida Team’ that will continue the search while he’s gone. He says he will continue to process leads in Colorado while he’s there.”

Duane Chapman’s daughter also commented
Lyssa Chapman also commented on her father’s return to Colorado. She said, “Dad is headed back to Colorado temporarily to handle some business. ( Remember, he was in Florida on his honeymoon) We are still actively searching for #BrianLaundrie, leaving a team in place in Florida. As always, whatever I can share with you, I will.”
A few days ago the Dog team said they had some huge information regarding the search for Brian Laundrie. Lyssa Chapman also commented on that information. She said, “Hi guys, I was locked out of twitter due to account security. Just got back in… A lot of people asking about my last tweet with big news. I’ve been asked to not share active information due to the large amount of media surrounding the case.”
Just this past week, Chris Laundrie assisted law enforcement by accompanying them to the Carlton Nature Reserve to show them where Brian Laundrie frequented.
Dad and I were just speaking about how strange it is for the FBI to bring the father of a suspect on a search. Usually only typical of a stand-off situations… regardless we are still on the hunt for #BrianLaundrie
