Since Justin Duggar announced his courtship with Claire Spivey in 2020, fans have been begging the pair to slow down. As soon as Justin turned 18, he popped the question. Now, just a few months later, the pair has already tied the knot. While Duggar fans have been concerned about Justin getting married so young and so quickly, his family members haven’t spoken out about it. Now, Justin’s sister Jill Duggar is sharing a post alluding to her opinion on his fast marriage.
Justin Duggar & Claire Spivey discouraged from getting married young
Whenever the Duggar family shares new photos of their son Justin, fans comment on the posts and say that Justin is too young to be in such a serious relationship. They worry that the young couple rushed their relationship and marriage. They tied the knot when Justin was just 18 years old. The day after their wedding, Claire turned 20.
In the comments section, one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s followers writes, “Cute couple but my goodness he is still a baby!” Another one writes, “It’s weird when babies get married.”
The Duggar family now has their Instagram comments limited to filter out many of the negative comments about their son’s wedding.
Jill Duggar seemingly chimes in on the conversation
On her Instagram stories, Jill shared a quote from another page on Instagram. The quote reads, “Don’t try to rush things that need time to grow.” Because there has been a lot of talk about Justin and Claire rushing their relationship, it’s possible that Jill’s post has something to do with that. Does she think that the couple needs to grow more before settling down?
Since this post was on her Instagram stories, fans can’t publicly reply. But she likely received private responses wondering what the quote is all about.
Jill’s husband Derick Dillard previously said that the kids in the family go off and get married early so they can start sleeping with their new spouse.
Jill and Derick recently added a rescue dog to their household. So, maybe with all of the necessary training, Jill is trying not to rush things. She’s having to learn how to be patient and raise the dog.
It’s also possible that the Duggar daughter just wants to spread an encouraging message.

These stories are ridiculous.
Jill and Derrick got married just as fast or worse. They choose not to have an intimate relationship, so I would be rushing to the alter too. Remember the hormones at 19??
