Meghan Markle is causing a stir with her latest looks. Royal watchers can’t stop talking about her pregnancy dress. Last month, Meghan and Prince Harry announced that they are expecting their second child. Since then, fans are wondering if they’re having a boy or a girl.
Some of them are even looking for clues in Meghan’s wardrobe. Some believe she coyly revealed the baby’s gender in a piece of jewelry she was wearing. On Sunday, February 14, Meghan and Harry shared the news in a black-and-white photo shared on social media. But little details about the baby’s gender or due date were revealed.
Royal fans notice the Duchess’ ring
The Express reported that Meghan Markle wore a pink ring on her finger. Late last week, the couple promoted their Archewell Audio podcast, which currently has one episode on it. Since that sighting, fans are wondering if Meghan is hinting that she’s having a baby girl. Here are just some of the comments:

Meghan Markle wears black gown in Oprah interview
In the highly-anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duchess of Sussex wore a black silk dress by Armani. According to Town & Country, it features an embroidered lotus flower on the right shoulder. Meghan Markle loves to send secret messages through her clothing. While she has since stepped back as a senior royal, she still continues to look like one.
In 2020, T&C published an article on the meaning of the lotus flower. It’s usually associated with rebirth and spiritual enlightenment.
“With its roots latched in mud, it submerges every night into river water and miraculously re-blooms the next morning, sparklingly clean. In many cultures, this process associates the flower with rebirth and spiritual enlightenment,” the piece reads. “With such refusal to accept defeat, it’s almost impossible not to associate this flower with unwavering faith. Although cultures have largely dubbed the lotus as a spiritual figurehead, it is most emblematic of the faith within ourselves.”
The lotus flower is the perfect symbol for someone who’s recovered from an injury or a traumatic experience. Last summer, Meghan opened up about her miscarriage. Previously, she shared her experience with online bullying. In the preview of the first-ever interview, Oprah hints about Meghan hitting her “breaking point.”
She wore this $30 dress to FaceTime Harry
Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden. During the segment, Harry was on a FaceTime call with his wife. At the time, James and Harry were riding around on a tour bus of Los Angeles. The talk show host joked that the two should buy the former house of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
According to Today.com, Meghan wore a blue off-the-shoulder dress from the Los Angeles-based company, Velvet Torch. At $30, the dress is affordable enough to throw on for any summer occasion. It’s even comfortable enough to wear at home. Velvet Torch confirmed on Instagram that Meghan wore it and called it the “Meghan Effect Puff Sleeve Smock Dress.”
