Counting On star Justin Duggar recently got married to Claire Spivey. The pair tied the knot earlier than fans expected. Their original wedding date was listed as April 16, 2021, on their wedding registry. Of course, this could have been a way to throw off the press. Instead, they got hitched on February 26, just a couple of months after getting engaged.
Now, there is some speculation that the duo rushed their wedding due to Claire potentially being pregnant, but there’s no evidence of this. Regardless, Duggar fans expect that the couple will be parents very soon.
On Tuesday, Justin shared a sneak peek of the couple’s wedding video. In his caption, he calls it a “sneak peak” though.
What’s the difference between “peak” and “peek?”
Peek is the word used in phrases like “sneak peek,” or “take a peek.”
Peak is the word used to refer to the peak of a mountain or another high level.
So, based on these meanings, Justin should have written, “sneak peek.”
The post was shared early on Tuesday, and Justin has yet to correct it. Surprisingly, fans seem to be more focused on the video and less focused on the spelling mistake. Of course, a few are commenting on the slip-up.
Justin Duggar and other siblings’ education questioned
In the past, the Duggar kids have been questioned by fans over their education. As fans of the family know, the kids are homeschooled by their mom, Michelle Duggar.
Though the Duggar kids have all been homeschooled, some of the grandkids may have a different experience. Anna Duggar previously said she’d let her kids go to college. Jill and Derick Dillard are sending their kids to public school.
Fans and critics alike have questioned how smart the Duggar kids are. Some of the family’s homeschooling strategies have been questioned in the past too.
It’s unclear if Justin just made a typo and didn’t realize it or if it’s truly a reflection of his education. Maybe he doesn’t know the difference between the two words. Many people make little mistakes like that here and there. With social media, it’s easy to post quickly without proofreading. Plus, he may not care enough to notice or fix it.
So, do you think that homeschooling has something to do with Justin Duggar’s typo, or do you think it was a minor slip-up? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
