Pat Robertson had an important message for Donald Trump. Earlier this week, the 90-year-old televangelist said that he is living in an “alternate reality” and should “move on” from his loss in the 2020 presidential election. This is a different tone since Robertson openly shared his support for Trump. He even stated that God told him he was going to win the reelection, according to The Hill.
However, his stance has changed. On the Monday, December 21 episode of The 700 Club, Robertson talked about the Supreme Court’s decision not to listen to Trump’s claims that the election was stolen. As of Friday, December 24, there is no proof of his claims.
Pat Robertson thinks President should move on from the election
Donald Trump has filed many legal challenges, but they all failed. At the same time, the Electoral College announced President-elect Joe Biden’s victory. The final step in the procedural process will be the official session of Congress on January 6. That’s when Republicans will declare a doomed final challenge. Biden will be sworn into office on January 20.
“I think it’s all over,” Robertson said on Monday’s episode. “I think the Electoral College has spoken.”
While he alleged “Biden corruption,” he doesn’t think it affected the Electoral College. Robertson also doesn’t think that the “Supreme Court is going to move in to do anything.” Christian Broadcasting News correspondent George Thomas asked Robertson if he thinks Trump should run again, Robertson said “it’s a sideshow” and that “it will be a mistake.”

Instead, Robertson is hoping that former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley will run. He feels that she would “make a tremendous candidate for the Republican candidate.” But he still continued to defend Trump while addressing some of his divisive tactics.
“With all his talent and the ability to raise money and grow large crowds, the president still lives in an alternate reality. He really does,” Robertson continued.
Then Robertson told Trump: “It’s time to move on.” But he continued to commend Trump and added that “God placed him in that office for the time.”
President Donald Trump refuses to concede
Donald Trump still refuses to concede the election. And that decision has caused confusion among White House staff, per The Hill. On Wednesday, December 23, staff received a memo stating a checklist of what they need to do before leaving the White House next month. Just a few hours later, they received another memo saying to disregard the previous instructions. Now, the staff has to wait and see what happens in the coming days ahead.
On Tuesday, Trump announced more pardons. He granted clemency to three Republican congressmen who pleaded guilty or were guilty of various forms of corruption. He also granted pardons to two individuals involved with the Russian investigation.
