Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly swapped Christmas gifts with Prince William and Kate Middleton. Like everyone else, the royal family will be celebrating Christmas separately this year. Harry and Meghan will stay at their home in California. The so-called Fab Four already uniquely celebrated Christmas.
According to reports, Meghan and Harry already exchanged Christmas gifts with Prince William and Kate Middleton. The Sussexes and the Cambridges exchanged gifts ahead of the holiday. They all wanted to ensure that their gifts have arrived on time. Also, gifts have been exchanged “back and forth between the entire royal family.”
This proves that The Fab Four are still close.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sent Prince William and Kate Christmas gifts
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had quite the year. They stepped down from senior royal positions and moved to the U.S. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry purchased a new home and launched their nonprofit. Then, Meghan shared the details of her miscarriage in an emotional essay.
Now, they’re getting ready to celebrate Christmas in Montecito. The couple has already gotten into the Christmas spirit. They will celebrate their first-ever Christmas at their Santa Barbara mansion with their son, Archie. This is the second consecutive year that Harry and Meghan celebrated Christmas away from the royal family.
They’re not able to travel amid the coronavirus pandemic. Also, rumors swirled about the tension between Prince Harry and Prince William. It appears that both couples are making an effort with their fractured relationship. Harry and William are in “regular contact,” and the Sussexes exchanged gifts to the Cambridge family.
The royals usually send gag gifts during their traditional Christmas held at Sandringham. Maybe Prince Harry and Meghan continued that tradition with their gifts for Prince William and Kate Middleton. Or, they could have opted for more thoughtful gifts this time around. Meghan and Harry were previously spotted Christmas tree shopping in late November.
How will the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrate Christmas?
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry already have their plans in mind. As for the Cambridges, it’s unclear what their plans are. The couple used to spend Christmas with the royals at Sandringham or with Kate’s family. However, Queen Elizabeth II announced that she and Prince Philip will not celebrate the holidays at Sandringham. This is the first time in decades for the couple.
“It is so difficult. We are still trying to make plans,” Prince William said, as per The Mirror, during his recent Royal Train Tour. “It’s difficult to know what to do for the best.”
In the meantime, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis will help decorate their grandmother Carole Middleton’s Christmas tree virtually instead of in-person. In her Instagram post, Carole wrote that that “what really matters” is being able to connect with her family. She will ask her grandchildren via video call “which decoration should go where.”
As for Meghan, she’s been in a gifting mood. She also sent gifts to her neighbors in Montecito. Oprah was one of those lucky recipients. She teased on Instagram that her “lovely Christmas basket” is from her “neighbor M,” which fans noticed is from Meghan herself.
