House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned that stimulus talks could go past Christmas. This is different from the initial plan to have stimulus checks by Christmas Eve. The White House made a “generous offer” of a $1.6 trillion relief package. As for Pelosi, she was negotiating a $2.4 trillion deal.
She made Americans think they could get a stimulus check soon. The Democratic politician revealed a COVID-19 relief bill of less than $1 trillion with a separate $1.4 trillion government-wide spending bill on Friday, December 4. Pelosi told reporters that she and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell were working to reach an agreement.
However, those plans have since changed. And the internet says that Pelosi “should resign.”
Is Nancy Pelosi to blame?
Some think Nancy Pelosi stopped COVID-19 relief checks in order to hurt President Donald Trump. The internet thinks “she should resign.” According to reports, Pelosi told reporters that she and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are working on a plan to reach an agreement on a massive spending bill for COVID-19 relief. She revealed that the bill was being finalized by senators. However, the relief bill is different from what Democrats supported before the election.
“It’s a good product,” Pelosi explained. “It’s not everything we want.”
She said that the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccines and President-elect Joe Biden’s victory are a “game-changer” that could bring more aid next year and much-needed relief from the pandemic. She called the bill a bridge “until the inauguration and the emergence of the vaccine.” But Pelosi has been called out for supporting a lower figure bill.
Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy slammed her on Twitter. On December 4, he tweeted: “Nancy Pelosi admitted today that she held up COVID aid for months to try to hurt President @realDonaldTrump, yet the people she hurt the most are American workers and small businesses.” However, he has since deleted that tweet.
Why the internet thinks “she should resign”
In his tweet, McCarthy posted a video where Pelosi revealed the reason for agreeing on a smaller relief package of $908 billion rather than the proposed $2.4 trillion. She shared that both Biden’s win and the news of the vaccines could provide a respite to Americans, so she negotiated a lower aid package. But the internet does not agree with Pelosi.
“She does not care about the children and families she is hurting,” one user tweeted.
“The damage she’s done by withholding aid should quality her for impeachment,” a second user wrote.
“She should be forced to resign!” a third chimed in.

Pelosi is disgusting. She blocked the stimulus bill strictly for political reasons and is a total hyprocrite, saying Trump is deranged. She is deranged but perhaps its not her fault. She lives in San Francisco, a beautiful city that has been destroyed by crazy liberalism. If Trump is forced to resign then she should too – her holding up relief simply so Trump could not get credit for it is far worse than what Trump ever it. Yes, he is egotistic and has a big mouth but has been a very effective President far more so than Mr. Nice Guy but essentially worthless Barack Obama. And what are we going to do about the liberal media? How about Congress passing a bill that says every media outlet must present both points of view on a political subject. CNN would have to air Tucker Carlson, Fox Chris Cuomo. And the networks would have to show the conservative point of view. Then America would be great again!
