Rumer Willis is angry. The actress revealed that she was unwillingly exposed to COVID-19. Her interview came the same day that California Governor Gavin Newsom advised a stay-at-home lockdown amid the pandemic. Rumer took to Instagram to reveal that she tested positive for the virus.
The 32-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore expressed her anger on social media. She shared that she came into contact with someone who didn’t inform her they had symptoms. In addition, that person didn’t wear a face covering. On Thursday, December 3, she made her public plea to fans about the importance of wearing a mask.

Rumer Willis posted a new video of herself on her Instagram Story. In the clip, she used a filter that placed several masks over her face. In the caption, Rumer wrote: “It’s not up for discussion anymore! I don’t really care what you want to do for yourself but for others WEAR A DAMN MASK!”
Then, Rumer revealed that she was “exposed to covid today” since “someone didn’t feel the need to speak up about the symptoms or wear a mask.” The House Bunny star admitted that she’s both “pretty freaked out and angry.”
“It’s not that difficult to be a decent human being and protect yourself and others,” Rumer added.
In the photo, she modeled three different masks as she reiterated her message. She also wore a gray knitted hooded cardigan with a black shirt. Her latest post comes after she shared a clip in which she revealed that she was “Feeling Weird and Not Ok.”
Coronavirus cases continue to climb in California. On Thursday, December 3, Los Angeles County reported another daily count of 7,854 cases along with 44 deaths. Residents are advised to stay home, especially during the upcoming holiday season.
Rumer Willis shares her thoughts on social distancing
Her message comes just months after her two sisters – Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis – and their mom, Demi Moore, revealed how they’ve been doing during the pandemic. The family answered questions on Tallulah’s @shopwyllis Instagram page in April. They addressed the coronavirus pandemic and how they’ve been handling it. One fan asked them their thoughts on those who don’t take social distancing seriously.
“I think the biggest thing you can do, in my opinion, is lead by example,” Rumer said. “None of us are capable of changing their belief system or what they’re going to do.”
Her mom agreed with her, saying, “I think your answer is fitting. Ru, because you need to do what’s right for yourself, what you feel is right. So then how do we center ourselves?”
During the conversation, Rumer admitted that she’s aware that she can’t “fix or control the way someone is moving through this process.” Instead, she can only focus on herself. She shared that it’s “heartbreaking” to watch others go around it the wrong way. Hopefully, Rumer will make a quick recovery.
