Would Donald Trump run again in 2024? President Trump has not yet conceded. Instead, he’s preparing for a second term. In conversations behind closed doors, Trump has reportedly discussed a presidential run in 2024. But he still hasn’t come to terms with reality.
He’s expected to leave office come January. President-elect Joe Biden will be inaugurated into the White House on January 20, 2021. However, Trump isn’t focused on the present moment. Instead, he’s still focused on the 2020 election results as well as the 2024 election. He may want to run as President of the White House once again.
He reportedly told his confidants that he will announce his 2024 presidential campaign by the end of this year. This could set him up in a re-match against Biden. Americans will get a major case of deja vu, especially since Kanye West announced his 2024 presidential run.
Why Donald Trump may not run in 2024
Even if Trump announces his presidential run for 2024, it may not happen. Critics think that his presidential campaign will be “a phony cash grab” so he can get more money from his supporters. According to the Palmer Report, Trump could use the money “for his upcoming criminal trial defense and creditor squeezes.” Contributor Bill Palmer said that Trump may end up in the slammer, not the White House, by 2024.
“Don’t let anyone in the media get away with framing this Trump 2024 nonsense as if it were real,” Palmer wrote.
Trump’s also the one thing that’s standing in the way of Biden’s transition. However, Trump’s fantasy of overturning the election results may not come true. On Monday, November 23, Republican corporate donors said they would donate to the Senate runoff races if Trump removed himself. The GOP may quickly remove themselves from Trump’s antics, so they can rebuild their image.
Some Republican voters want to see Trump run again
Despite what critics think, two new surveys found that GOP voters think Trump should run for another term. Reports from Axios and the Washington Post revealed that Trump still has his eye on the 2024 race. According to the two new surveys published on Tuesday, November 24, a majority of Republicans would love to give Trump four more years.
Two-thirds (66%) of Republican voters said they would vote for Trump again in four years, according to the new survey from Seven Letter Insight. The communications and messaging firm surveyed 1,5000 respondents between November 10 and 19. Sixty-seven percent of those voters also said they support Trump’s peaceful transition to the Biden administration. But they still want him back in the White House by 2025.

And according to a Politico/Morning Consult poll of 1,990 voters between November 21 and 23, 53% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents support Trump’s supposed run for 2024.
In that same survey, 63% of Republican voters from the Seven Letter Insight survey want Trump to stop using Twitter to address politics. Eighty-six percent of voters are calling him to unify the nation. While most Democrats hope Trump will leave the White House and go into hiding, eight out of 10 Republicans want him leading the GOP.
