Donald Trump is currently the sitting President. But that won’t be the case for long. On January 20, 2021, President-elect Joe Biden will become the 46th President of the United States. Trump has had a rough month. Biden won and his lawsuits are losing ground.
Now, Trump will have to give up his Twitter handle. His official Twitter handle, that is. Trump will have to give up his POTUS Twitter account to Joe Biden on Inauguration Day. Trump loves tweeting as much as he loves America.
So, will he give up easily? Or, will there be another fight?
Donald Trump tweets no more?
On January 20, also known as Inauguration Day, Donald Trump will have to give up his POTUS Twitter account. Joe Biden will take over the account from that day forward. The transition should begin now. But it’s been pushed back due to lawsuits from Trump’s administration.
They argue that Democrats and Biden stole the election from him. As a result, Trump refuses to concede his election loss. But he’s still expected to turn over the presidency, including the official Twitter account. That could cause a challenge for Biden.
On January 20, 2021, the Twitter account @POTUS will transfer over to President-elect Joe Biden, according to Twitter itself.
The Media is just as corrupt as the Election itself!

“Twitter is actively preparing to support the transition of White House institutional Twitter accounts on January 20th, 2021,” the media company released a statement to People on Saturday, November 21. “As we did for the presidential transition in 2017, this process is being done in close consultation with the National Archives and Records Administration.
This means all of Trump’s tweets made during his presidency will be archived and removed from the account, as per Business Insider. This is a normal procedure that took place when President Barack Obama’s time in the White House ended. His presidential tweets are now archived on the Twitter account @POTUS44.
President-elect Joe Biden may have a tough transition
However, this could be a challenge. Trump continues to claim that widespread fraud was the reason behind his election loss. However, officials from each state said there is no evidence to support his allegations. Trump even made the allegations on Twitter.
The social media site labeled several of his tweets, warning users that they could have “disputed” or “misleading” information about the election. Also, on Inauguration Day, Trump’s personal Twitter will lose its “world leader” status. This allows any messages that violate the company policy to remain on the platform since they are considered “public interest.”
Joe Biden was a total disaster in handling the H1N1 Swine Flu, would never have produced a Vaccine in record time (years ahead of schedule), and would do a terrible job of Vaccine delivery – But doesn’t everybody already know that!

“If an account suddenly is not a world leader anymore, that particular policy goes away,” CEO Jack Dorsey told Business Insider.
In the meantime, Trump keeps losing his legal battles. Fox News anchors called his claims “an insult” while Obama said they were “dangerous.” However, most of the GOP won’t acknowledge Biden’s win. This could make his transition much more difficult in the next two and a half months.
