WWE 205 Live 3/5: Rating and Ranking Every Match

WWE 205 Live showcases the best Cruiserweight action with established veterans and younger superstars looking to make their mark. Two matches are on tap today, including the undefeated Mansoor in singles action, and also a tag team grudge match. The action can be found on the WWE Network immediately following Friday Night Smackdown.

Each match on WWE 205 Live will be given a brief review and analysis. Then each match will be given a rating and be ranked from worst to best.

Matches Ranked from Worst to Best

2) August Grey and Jake Atlas defeated Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese
The veterans of Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese have been a thorn in the side of August Grey and Jake Atlas in recent weeks. Daivari mocks Grey to start before tagging in Nese. Grey gets the better of a chain wrestling sequence until Nese lands a hard right hand. Daivari and Nese exchange tags while keeping Grey in the corner. A double suplex attempt is countered as Grey flips out and makes the hot tag to Atlas who cleans house. Grey climbs to the top rope but is crotched by Daivari.

Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari continue to double team until Jake Atlas is able to make the hot tag Austen Grey. Grey rushes in with a headscissors to Nesa followed by a big closeline before knocking Daivari off the apron. Daivari heads into the ring and is caught with So Much Prettier before being caught by Nese. Nese connects with a sitdown cradle driver that gets a close two count as Atlas makes the safe. Atlas connects with a suicide dive on Atlas to the outside as Grey lands So Much Prettier on Nese for the win.

Match Analysis: Fun tag match between four wrestlers who are building impressive chemistry. Giving Grey and Atlas the win is a good balance to the heel tactics of Nese and Daivari. Worth a Watch. ***1/4

WWE 205 Live: Main Event

1) Mansoor d. Curt Stallion
Mansoor and Curt Stallion look up clean to start. Mansoor gets a quick two-count off a rollup. Stallion reverses an armbar into a side headlock to keep the match grounded. Both men exchange the advantage on the mat before Stallion hits a rolling German Suplex for his own two-count. A snap suplex and a knee drop by Stallion gets another two-count. Mansoor rebounds with a hard lariat but Stallion kicks out at two once again.

Curt Stallion hits neckbreaker drop before an avalanche knee in the corner on Mansoor. Diving basement dropkick by Stallion and a DDT to the bottom turnbuckle but Mansoor continues to kick out. Double underhook suplex by Stallion gets a two-count to his surprise. Stallion attempts a frog splash but Mansoor gets the knees up as he heads to the top rope. Mansoor gets caught as Stallion hits a reverse Spanish Fly that somehow only gets a two count. Mansoor avoids a diving shoulder block as Stallion rams the top turnbuckle. A springboard neckbreaker from Mansoor gets the win to extend his undefeated win streak to 41.

Match Analysis: What a legit awesome main event on WWE 205 Live. It started a bit slow but it had a nice build that ended with a crazy finishing sequence. WWE 205 Live continues to be the hidden gem of the promotion that deserves more eyes looking their way. Must-Watch. ****
