The Road to Wrestlemania is on a fast track with less than two months remaining until the big show. Before Wrestlemania, the WWE Elimination Chamber took place on Sunday night and included some very big changes for many superstars.
Each match at WWE Elimination Chamber will be given a brief review and analysis. Then each match will be given a rating and be ranked from worst to best. The title matches following the chamber matches will be ranked together.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
4) Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler defeated Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks
This combination of superstars in the women’s division is getting a bit stale. Sasha Banks stands out and Bianca Belair has potential. On the flip side, Nia Jax continues to struggle and Shayna Baszler doesn’t seem that motivated. Banks and Belair get the upper hand earlier on until Banks finds herself in trouble on the outside. Jax and Baszler exchange tags to keep Banks under control before the champion makes her comeback.
Bianca Belair gets the tag but is caught up quickly in a submission that she reversed. Sasha Banks gets the tag and hits a top rope splash for a two-count. Reginald then comes to the ring and attempts to toss Banks a bottle of champagne to use as a weapon. Banks refuses and is hit with a Samoan Drop from Nia Jax for the win at the WWE Elimiantion Chamber.

Match Analysis: Decent tag match but it’s getting a bit too repetitive with this rotation within the women’s division. Skim It. **
US Title Match
3) Riddle defeated Bobby Lashley and John Morrison
Keith Lee was taken out of the match due to injury and replaced by John Morrison who won a qualifier during the WWE Elimination Chamber kick-off show. Bobby Lashley overwhelms Riddle and tosses him outside of the ring. Lashley then goes after Morrison and slams him into the ring post. Riddle attempts to leap at Lashley but is caught and slammed hard to the ground.
Back in the ring and Bobby Lashley doubles down on his offense. Riddle and John Morrison briefly attempt to double team the US Champion, including duel corner attacks. Lashley fights them off and gets caught in a hurricanrana to the outside by Riddle. All three men then have time to shine in the middle of the ring until Riddle grabs MVP’s crutch and nails Lashley. Riddle then hits Bro Derek on Morrison for the win and title.

Match Analysis: This was a fun triple threat match that puts the belt on Riddle while keeping Lashley strong. It’ll be interesting to see where Lashley goes from here with Wrestlemania just six weeks away. Worth a Watch. ***1/4
WWE Championship Elimination Chamber + MITB Cash-in
2A) Drew McIntyre defeated AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton and Sheamus
Randy Orton and Jeff HGardy kick things off to start. Solid back and forth between both men as Drew McIntyre enters as #3. McIntyre goes to work on Orton on the outside, ramming his face into the chamber fence. McIntyre then targets Hardy by suplexing him on the outside of the ring and launching him into the pod. Kofi Kingston is in at #4 and gets a surprisingly quick elimination of Orton with an unorthodox roll-up. Orton hits an RKO to Kingston and Hardy before leaving.
Omos rips the back of AJ Styles’ pod allowing Styles to run in at #5 and attempt a pinfall. Omos is then ejected to the back by WWE official Adam Pearce allowing Kofi Kingston to hit a tornado DDT on Styles. Styles and Kingstone have a solid exchange before Sheamus enters at #6. Brogue Kick to Kingston eliminated Kofi. Hardy fights back with a Swanton but is eliminated after a Claymore from McIntyre. Phenomenal Forearm by AJ shockingly gets rid of Sheamus before a McIntyre hits a Claymore for the win.

Match Analysis: Solid WWE Elimination Chamber match but just at the level of what was delivered on the Smackdown side. Worth a Watch. ***3/4
WWE Title Match
2B) The Miz defeated Drew McIntyre
After the WWE Elimination Chamber main event, Bobby Lashley runs down to layout Drew McIntyre. The music of The Miz hits as he rushes to the ring to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. The Miz gets a 2-count after a DDT but then gets the win and the title following a Skull Crushing Finale.
The Miz is the first 2-time @WWE Grand Slam Champion.

Match Analysis: Can’t rate a short one like this, but considering it’s a MITB cash-in and title change then it’s a Must-Watch. I wasn’t thrilled when The Miz first cashed in, but after some reflection, it’s clear he’s a short-term champion that will be used as a transition into a bigger storyline. The Miz has been a solid mid-card heel for awhile and catches a lot of heat. WWE could’ve done much worse in picking a short-term transitional heel that will highly likely drop the title before Wrestlemania.
WWE Smackdown Chamber + Universal Title Match
1A) Daniel Bryan defeated Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, King Corbin, Sami Zayn & Cesaro
Daniel Bryan and Cesaro start things off and put on a 5-minute wrestling clinic until King Corbin enters at #3. Corin beats down on Bryan and Cesaro but is quickly on the receiving end of a beatdown himself. Sami Zayn is in at #4 and tries to lock himself in his own pod to no avail. Zayn gets in on the action while Corbin is eliminated after tapping to Cesaro’s Sharpshooter. Kevin Owens comes in at #5 and goes off on everyone in the ring, including a moonsault from the top of the pod.

Back in and Sami Zayn is hit with a stunner from Kevin Ownes and is eliminated. Jey Uso is the final man to enter at #6 and shuts the chamber door on Owens’ arm. Cesaro takes out Uso and heads back in to attack Daniel Bryan but is met with a stiff kick. Both men exchange strikes and deliver another wrestling clinic. Uso then connects with a top rope splash on Cesaro for the elimination. Uso beats down Bryan and attempts a splash from the top of the pod. Bryan gets the knees up and hits a running knee for the win at the WWE Elimination Chamber.
Match Analysis: Very good chamber match from the blue brand in WWE. There was no down point at all and the Bryan/Cesaro segments really stood out. Hopefully, we get both men against each other at Wrestlemania. Must-Watch. ****1/4
Universal Title Match:
1B) Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan
Roman Reigns attempts a spear but is quickly caught in the Yes Lock. Reigns counters and beats Bryan down with a flurry of haymakers. Powerbomb by Reigns followed by a guillotine choke that passed Bryan out in less than two minutes. As Reigns celebrates, he’s quickly speared by Edge who officially points to the Wrestlemania sign to officially make his main event decision.
Match Analysis: Can’t officially rate a match at under two minutes, but considering it an extension of the WWE Elimination Chamber match, it’s still a Must-Watch.
