AEW Dynamite came off the heels of an exciting episode last week as TNT Champion Darby Allin pulled off the upset over Brian Cage. The Inner Circle continued to crack, leading to a 3-way tag team match tonight between all six members. Sting returned once again, all in the backdrop of a birthday celebration to the late Brodie Lee’s son, -1.
AEW Main Event: Inner Circle Triple Threat
Chris Jericho and MJF defeated Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager & Santana and Ortiz
After the Inner Circle showed further tension last week, a Triple Threat tag match was signed to see who would become the official tag team of AEW’s The Inner Circle. Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara started things off. Guevara got the advantage early, much to the chagrin of the veteran Jericho. Santana and Hager were then tagged in, as Ortiz joined for some double team offense. Seeing an opening, Jericho got back in but was quickly on the receiving end of more double team moves. Jericho took control before Hager and MJF were tagged back into the chaos. All six wrestlers found themselves exchanging spots, but MJF rolled up Guevara for the win. **3/4

AEW Dynamite Birthday Bash
Following the untimely death of AEW star and leader of the Dark Order Brodie Lee, the promotion has gone above and beyond in its support. One way they have honored Lee has been to allow his 8-year-old son -1 to get some TV time. On Wednesday, AEW Dynamite kicked of as The Dark Order came out on stage, along with -1. The Dark Order sang Happy Birthday to the youngster while also presenting him with a cake. The team of Luther, Serpentico, Angelico, and Jack Evans came out to crash the celebration before Adam Page made the save leading to the opening 8-man-tag.

Hangman Page, Colt Cabana, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver defeated Luther, Serpentico, Angelico, and Jack Evans
As expected, the match was quick and to the point. Page looked like a star as he got off a few high spots to shine, including a big moonsault from the top to the outside. Back in the ring, Reynolds hit an enziguri leading to Silver locking Evans from behind before Page hit the Buckshot lariat for the win. **1/4
AEW: Sting Returns
Sting and Darby Allin are introduced by Tony Schivone following the TNT Champion’s win against Brian Cage last week. As Sting was praising Allin, Team Taz came out with Taz challenging both men to “take it to the streets.” Allin accepted, and warned Taz to “be careful what you wish for.”

Matt Hardy’s Private Party
Matt Hardy and “Private Party” Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen defeated Matt Sydal and “Top Flight” Darius Martin and Dante Martin
The Private Party were riding momentum after their big win on IMPACT Wrestling on Tuesday night. The high-flying nature of both AEW teams were on display from the start as both teams got their shots in. Private Party then grounded Top Notch, before Dante Martin was able to make the tag to Darius Martin. Martin then tossed Matt Hardy over the top rope before hitting him with a suicide dive. Hardy was able to get back to his feet and hit a trifecta of side effects but that wasn’t enough to get the win. After a distraction by Hardy, Martin hit the shooting star press as Hardy’s Private Party walked out the winner. **1/2
AEW Dynamite: The Undercard
Cody Rhodes w/Arn Anderson defeated Peter Avalon
AEW Dynamite continued as Cody Rhodes quickly hit the Cross Rhodes on Peter Avalon but was distracted by Red Velvet on the outside. The distraction led to Avalon hitting a low blow on Rhodes before working on the knee. Avalon then hit a superplex before both men brawled outside. The match went back and forth during the break, but Rhodes was able to capitalize after Avalon missed a moonsault. Rhode’s comeback was cut short following a botched leapfrog, appearing to hurt his knee. Despite this, Rhodes fought back and got the win with the figure four after threatening to slap Avalon with his belt. **1/4

John Moxley defeated Nick Comoroto
John Moxley made his return to AEW Dynamite but ran into a motivated Nick Comoroto. Comoroto was able to get the early advantage but Moxley turned the tables and picked up the win. After the match, Moxley got on the microphone and said he didn’t care who he faces in the AEW but made sure to note AEW Champion Kenny Omega *
Penelope Ford defeated Layla Hirsch
In another match that seemed more competitive than you would think, Layla Hirsh brought her A-game. Hirsh even hit a top-rope flip to the floor but Ford got the win in questionable fashion. After the match, Miro brought out Charles and forced him to tell Orange Cassidy that he was his best friend. *1/2
AEW: Other News and Notes
Don Callis was shown in the back trying to buy off the Young Bucks’ friend but was blown off. Callis was then shown with a black eye talking to Kenny Omega, hinting that the Bucks were responsible.
