Brendan Ring shares shocking receipt on Facebook

Shocked and overwhelmed, the Ohio restaurant owner did what most would do in this situation. He took to social media. To share what happened. Given how difficult the year 2020 has been for most… And, the fact that he was preparing to shut down his restaurant because of the pandemic. This $3,000 tip was a huge blessing for himself and his employees.

According to Ring, the generous moment happened just because they had planned to close the restaurant that day. He explained a customer walked in, ordered a beer, and asked for the check. Things proceeded as normal and he discussed his voluntary shutdown of the restaurant to keep everyone safe.

That was when the customer encouraged the Ohio restaurant owner to share the tip with the employees that were working that day. Ring revealed he had four employees on the schedule at the time.

It was not until the customer exited the establishment that Brendan Ring noticed the massive tip on the $7 bill. Naturally, he chased after the customer assuming it was some sort of mistake.

Brendan was not sure the individual would want everyone to have that information. He, however, did want to make it clear how “humbly grateful” both himself and his staff were for this very generous gift.

The Facebook post has gone viral getting nearly 400 shares and a few hundred comments. Most have taken to the comments to discuss how refreshing it is to see such a kind act.
