‘Bringing Up Bates’ Proof Josie & Katie Closer Than Ever
Bringing Up Bates star Josie Bates Balka continues to spend time with her siblings much more than she used to over the past few years. Many fans are glad she has become more active with them amid speculations that she was distancing herself from some of her sisters. But it seems Josie took things to the next level after getting caught seemingly rebelling with her sister, Katie. Keep reading to see the photo.
Bringing Up Bates: Josie Bates’ Latest Activity
One of Josie’s latest social media posts was about her family’s trip to Utah for the Bates family’s annual ski trip. Gil and Kelly Jo were also with them, along with the other Bates children and married couples. Everyone had a blast on their annual family activity.
Their trip also comes just a month after Kelly Jo recovered from two surgeries to remove a kidney stone. Josie has also been thriving in her business, Effortless Beauty. The Bringing Up Bates star has also influenced many of her sisters to try out her products and help them become more conscious about their hair.

Some Bringing Up Bates fans on Reddit react to a photo from one of Josie and Katie’s dinner dates with their respective husbands. According to the poster, they noticed that Kelton and Josie appeared to have beers in front of them, which is strictly forbidden in their beliefs. Katie can also be seen looking so shocked while Travis films seriously, making things more suspicious.
However, several commenters mentioned that the bottle looked like a nonalcoholic root beer called Brigham’s Brew. Regardless, many are still surprised by how Josie and Katie are starting to mock drinking alcohol.
- “I lived in Utah for 8 years. That there is a root beer called Brigham’s Brew. Nonalcoholic. Compare the bottle to the zoomed in photo of Kelton’s drink. (They were in Park City, Utah for the ski trip and this is a local brew to the area).”

The Bates family also follows a strict dress code, just like the Duggar family. However, most of the Bates kids have normalized wearing pants, and Josie’s latest clip with her sisters stunned fans. Josie, Katie, and Carlin went all out with their fashion, wearing high boots and fur jackets. The Bringing Up Bates star captioned, “Getting ready with sisters feels like home 🥹💕”
