Bringing Up Bates: How Are Gil & Kelly Jo Bates Today?
Gil and Kelly Jo have been sharing updates about their growing family. The Bringing Up Bates stars welcomed their 30th grandchild, William Daniel, last July. He’s Lawson and Tiffany’s first child and rainbow baby. Gil and Kelly Jo are currently expecting their 31st and 32nd grandsons from Esther and Katie, respectively. Aside from their upcoming grandchildren, the two never forget to visit Mama Jane and Papa Bill as well.
Many fans got worried when Papa Bill’s dementia symptoms got worse. Carlin even shared an emotional vlog in which Papa Bill forgot who she was, which is why she had to introduce herself again. Gil and Kelly Jo like to participate in some of their kids’ vlogs as well. But some Reddit users are not happy about what they’ve been seemingly over the past few months.
Why Fans Are Starting To Unfollow The Kids?
Some Bringing Up Bates fans on Reddit discussed why they’re upset with some of the Bates children today. According to the poster, they’ve been having a hard time supporting the Bates family due to the girls and their “influencer” careers. The Reddit user added that they’ve become “self-serving” and no longer discuss their faith. Instead, they seem to idolize themselves, sharing over-the-top photos every week and selling the most unusual products. Another commenter also added that the Bates have become the Kardashians of the Christian world.

Bringing Up Bates: Alyssa Bates Faces Backlash
Another Reddit thread also called out Alyssa Bates Webster for seemingly making her kids work for her. According to the poster, the Bringing Up Bates star said her kids made a little homemade video they filmed themselves. “It would mean a lot to them if you would go watch and leave them a comment,” she added. However, not many are impressed about what she’s trying to achieve.
