Bringing Up Bates stars Gil and Kelly Jo Bates continue to update despite the cancellation of their show. Many of their posts today are about the milestones and other celebrations of their children. They’ve also been busy grandparents this year, welcoming multiple grandbabies with more to come. Bringing Up Bates: Gil & Kelly Jo Bates’ Latest Appearance
One of the latest appearances of Gil and Kelly Jo was during the family’s trip to South Carolina to celebrate the 4th of July at Mama Jane and Papa Bill’s farm. The Bringing Up Bates stars did multiple activities at the farm. But what caught the attention of many was when Gil prayed that his father’s illness would heal so that he could be like what he used to be again. It was previously revealed that Papa Bill is suffering from dementia. Many fans were also saddened when he forgot who Carlin was in one of her vlogs, where she had to introduce herself again.
Gil & Kelly Jo Finally Accept Changes In Family?
Some Redditors discussed the possibility that Gil and Kelly Jo have accepted some changes in the family. According to the poster, they’ve noticed that many daughters are starting to wear more revealing clothes over the past few months. Carlin has broken the boundary by wearing jeans and shorts regularly. Erin, known for her strong devotion, also began to wear shorter dresses. The poster also mentioned that Ellie appears to be breaking free from their core values even before getting married. Others agreed that Gil and Kelly Jo are starting to become easier with their kids, especially now that they’re no longer filming for Bringing Up Bates.

The Bringing Up Bates stars even revealed that they still see some of them, especially during family get-togethers and other occasions. One of them is Garrett, who worked at UpTV as a creative director.

Kelly Jo Bates even said they treat him like family, and he often appears at major family events such as weddings and baby showers. “I wish I had 1000 more pics of this guy, but here’s just a few of our memories together! Garrett, we all love you to pieces & will be forever grateful for the treasured, fun memories we share!” she added.
