Bringing Up Bates star Kelly Jo Bates has kept fans in touch about her family since the cancellation of their show in 2021. Despite their TV absence, the 57-year-old mom assures their loyal followers that they’re getting the latest news about her growing family. Most of the time, Kelly Jo uploads clips and pictures of her kids and grandkids online. Bringing Up Bates: Gil & Kelly Jo Bates’ Busy Year
It’s been quite a busy year for Gil and Kelly Jo. The Bringing Up Bates stars have already welcomed multiple grandkids this year, and there is more to come. In February 2024, the two welcomed their 28th grandchild, Miles Kelton Balka. Tori’s fifth child, Weston Slade Smith, also arrived later in May. Gil and Kelly Jo are also on record for having the longest consecutive grandsons this year. Tiffany, Esther, and Katie are all expecting baby boys this year, making it 32 grandkids for Gil and Kelly Jo.
Kelly Jo Shares Exciting Future For Isaiah & Addallee
In an Instagram post, Kelly Jo Bates shared a clip featuring Isaiah, Callie, and Addallee’s performance at their church. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, her kids performed at the Deaf Baptist Fellowship of America’s annual conference. Addallee and Isaiah sang with the Sword Deaf College Choir, while Callie later took part in the performances. Moments later, Kelly Jo revealed that Isaiah and Addallee both completed their ASL classes 1-3 and ASL interpreting classes. But their journey doesn’t stop there, as they aim to pursue higher education.

Kelly Jo said that Isaiah will be returning to Crown College for his 3rd year in Pastoral Studies while Addallee will be attending the same college as a freshman. “We’re so excited to watch as they continue their studies in college & in deaf ministry,” the proud mom added.
Bringing Up Bates: Kelly Jo Bates’ Scary Injury
Aside from her grandkids, Kelly Jo has also been spending a lot of time with her children. Earlier this month, the Bringing Up Bates star played pickleball with some of her kids and in-laws. Pickleball is one of the favorite games of the Bates family. Kelly Jo Bates even took it to the next level by going barefoot while playing. However, she ended up suffering from a foot injury, which resulted in large braces. Fortunately, Kelly Jo was fine, and nothing serious happened to her foot.
