Sister Wives star Meri Brown went through so many heartbreaks during her time with the Brown family. The recent season documented her attempts to reignite her relationship with Kody. However, she ended up with disappointment as the patriarch insisted that he was never going to fall in love with her again.
The 52-year-old even accused her ex-husband of giving her false hope and not telling her earlier that their marriage would no longer work. Sister Wives: Meri Brown Continues To Stay Positive
Meri recently took to social media to welcome a new family member. The Sister Wives star adopted a dog named Zona. According to her, she wasn’t supposed to get a dog because she travels too much and has a lot of responsibilities. However, Zona caught her attention when she visited a shelter.
When I met her on Saturday, I knew she was special. I couldn’t get her off my mind or out of my heart, so I went back on Sunday and brought her home with me! What a perfect way to spend New Years Eve!
Many also commended Meri for her kind gesture. Some also hope that her 2024 will be much happier now that she has a new friend by her side who will never leave her.

Fans Debate Over Meri’s Highs & Lows
Despite her positivity, Meri can’t seem to escape criticism. Some Redditors recently had a debate about whether she had done something bad to the cameras. According to the poster, the Sister Wives star gets a lot of hate, but they never saw her do something horrible on TV.
I must admit that I have always been team Meri, with the exception of the catfish period. But other than that, I’ve never seen her do mean things to the rest of the family, whereas I’ve seen it the other way around. Everything negative I read about her is hearsay.
But the poster later received comments from several people trying to point out Meri’s controversial moments. Some of these were about her attempts to support Kody and the way she was mean to the other wives and kids.
- “I actually kind of like Meri. But when Kody did his verbally abusive “the things I have sacrificed to love you” kidney in the knife soliloquy screaming at Christine she said she was glad he said it,” one person said.
- “I wasn’t a big fan of Meri until the family started to let their facade slip. At first, she seemed like a Debbie downer and didn’t want to be a team player with the rest of the wives,” another commenter added.

Sister Wives: Meri Brown & Friend Jenn Resurface After Big TLC Debut
Meri and her friend, Jenn, resurfaced on Instagram for their first livestream of 2024. The two talked about different topics, including the Sister Wives star’s new dog, Zona. Jenn also received tons of positive comments following her debut during the Talk Back special.
