Counting On alum Jim Bob Duggar has been keeping things private about his family. Though he’s often spotted at some of the recent Duggar gatherings. The reason behind his sudden disappearance, along with his wife, remains unclear. But some fans believe it’s due to the unwanted negativity social media brings to them. There are also reports that the 57-year-old father is struggling financially, and their problems are only getting worse.
Counting On: The Duggars Facing Family Problems?
Things have been complicated in the Duggar family in recent months. An explosive documentary against them and the IBLP was released. Jill Dillard, who also participated in the docuseries, also followed it up with a book that talks about her challenging past with the Duggars. However, the 32-year-old mother has made it clear that she has no intention to hurt anyone in the family. She also paid tribute to her dad on Father’s Day, showing that she still loves him despite their complicated relationship.
Additionally, police came over to the Duggar compound on Sunday, June 25. The reason behind it remains unclear. But reports claimed that it was for a “follow-up investigation.” It turns out the late Mary Duggar’s brother Tommy Lester passed away.
Jim Bob & Michelle Struggling Financially?
According to an insider, Jim Bob and Michelle are starting to offload some of their properties due to financial struggles. The claimant also revealed that the father of 19 has sold some of his vintage cars. The source added that they’re trimming grocery bills and teaching the kids to prefer hand-me-downs in order to save. Jim Bob allegedly spent millions during Josh’s trials. At this point, the Duggar parents have yet to open up about their money problems. But some Counting On fans think cutting ties with TLC has hurt them a lot.
Counting On: Will They Ever Return?
TLC has yet to confirm if they’re planning to bring back the conservative family to the small screen. However, the Duggars came back after a major controversy revolving around Josh in 2015. Though some Counting On fans believe that the CSAM arrest of Jim Bob’s oldest child caused too much damage to the family’s reputation.
There are suggestions that the network should give some of the married Duggars their own spinoff. One of them is Jinger Vuolo, who’s been living her best life in Los Angeles with Jeremy and their kids. James Duggar has been adventurous as well, and a travel spinoff may be a good idea.
