Counting On star Jana Duggar has been silent on social media for a year. The reason behind her sudden absence is unclear. Yet, fans assume that she just wants to lay low after all the controversies that the Duggar family faced since Josh Duggar’s CSAM arrest. Fans also think the family’s issues caused some problems for Jana’s love life. However, others think there’s another reason why Jana stays single.

Counting On fans from Reddit shared their thoughts on the possible reason why Jana Duggar stays single. Apparently, Jana is currently the oldest Duggar to remain single, and fans think it’s due to her being burnt out on kids. According to some, Jana has been the caretaker of the family for so long. She’s often tasked to look after her nephew and niece whenever their parents are out.
However, she still gets to have freedom due to having limited responsibilities. “She knows the second she’s married she’s going to have to pop out as many as possible. This way she gets some freedom and is taking care of older kids/fewer kids,” one person said. “I agree, that’s my feelings on the matter too. The only approved way to not have kids is to be unmarried,” another person added.

Counting On fans have also seen Jana Duggar’s recent travels with her brother, James Duggar. She even flew with James and some of their siblings in Europe. According to some, it’s a clear indication that Jana is still living her best life despite being single, similar to James and Jason Duggar. There have been reports that Jana once had a secret relationship with Stephen Wissmann. But everything between them suddenly went silent after Josh Duggar’s arrest.

Apparently, fans have seen Jana wearing pants more often, which is against their dress codes. Some fans also think Jinger Duggar’s latest book, Becoming Free Indeed, has reached Jana. According to some, Jana and Jinger have been so close ever since and it’s highly possible that Jinger has finally inspired her sister to question the harmful ideology of the IBLP.
